I was delighted to be mentioned in a recent article by Michael Brendan Dougherty in The Week. In my estimation, Dougherty has done some of the best work on the Trump campaign, and I cite him often in the book on that subject I am working on now.* I learned of this citation when a graduate student told me I was mentioned in an article about Trump. Before reading the article, I assumed that my work on the conservative movement was how I came up. Instead, he mentioned my older research on home affordability and family formation. That's the subject I focused on as a graduate student (and was one of the main subjects I examined in my first book). I haven't thought about that topic for a while, but I think it is a subject worth revisiting when I get a few other projects out the door.
* I am still looking for a publisher for that project, by the way. I have received interest from a number of academic presses, but I think it might actually be a good fit for a big commercial press, given the subject matter and the way it is written.
